Success in baseball
I just the news release that the Seattle Mariners signed Ichiro to contract extension worth $100 million dollars. I am not sure how you arrive at a fair market value for a particular position in baseball, but $100 million dollars. Now don’t get me wrong Ichiro is a great baseball player and this was evident by his performance in the 2007 All-Star game. But they are paying some one a lot of money that only hits the ball 3 out 10 times at the plate. If you or I were only 30% productive at work we may not have a job. I guess I should have stuck with baseball when I was a kid.
